Don’t just take our word for it, the proof is in the fundraising pudding. Here are three superstar Rocket Fund projects, to give you an idea of how you can use Rocket Fund in your school.


Fairlawn Primary School: Outside learning zone Why did it work so well?


Project lead: PTA Total amount raised: £5,149 Location: London


This was Fairlawn School’s second Rocket Fund project. This time around they chose to combine the online campaign alongside a real–world fun run. Family and friends from all over were able to donate at the click of a button, and those taking part in the fun run could ask for donations via the Rocket Fund page!


Hyndland Primary School: Digital technology fund Why did it work so well?


Project lead: Classroom teacher Total amount raised: £4,020 Location: Scotland


Hyndland Primary used social media extremely well, promoting their project across Facebook and Twitter. Local businessman and alumni member Peter Black saw one of their posts and was moved to make a sizeable donation to support the school’s technology project!


John Fielding Special School: School’s iPads Why did it work so well?


Project lead: MAT fundraising lead Total amount raised: £1,511 Location: Lincolnshire


Part of the C–I–T Academy Trust, John Fielding Special School planned and launched their project in just two weeks – it was one of nine that the school published at the same time! Fundraising coordinator Kris Mantle was able to put lots of effort into sharing the project with local businesses and was pleasantly surprised by the response and donations this elicited.
