This past year has been more than a little bit different. To make planning just that little bit easier the Roald Dahl Story Company have set up the Things to do Indoors hub on RoaldDahl.com, featuring a range of fun and educational activities to do in the classroom or at home.


From craft activities, to video story extracts and science experiments, all activities are ready to share and easy to follow, meaning teachers can be as hands–on or hands–off as the situation requires.


The website also lists a range of free YPO sponsored Roald Dahl lesson plans, created to align with Key Stage 1 and 2 learning objectives. Covering the curriculum, from English, maths and STEM to art, PSHE and geography, take your pupils on journeys on giant peaches, trips through Wonka’s chocolate factory and maybe even unlock a love of maths with Matilda Wormwood. Free to download, all lesson plans come with planning notes, including a list of all supplies needed so teachers can save much needed planning time or share quickly with parents or colleagues if plans change.
