Spotlight – the Design, Build, and Care Environments theatre The environment in which you live is so important. When providing care for others in a new space, long-term residency, or unfamiliar space, it is vital to consider every detail for every resident and how those details impact on their day-to-day living and, ultimately, the quality of care you provide. In the Design, Build, and Care Environments theatre we are going to be delving into how to achieve the best for your home. We have partnered with The Care Home Environment and Third Age Design to help us create the ideal topics impacting operation and estate managers in care homes.
The Design, Build, and Care Environments theatre will be one of the key theatres at Care Show this year. We have carefully filled it with sessions to give you variety, inspiration, and practical knowledge; a broad range of topics presented by a dynamic cohort of expert speakers. You can expect important debates, thought-provoking talks, and exclusive knowledge. Here is a sneak preview of some of the
innovative, interesting, and educational topics will be on offer: n Revitalising care: lessons from abroad, Lori Pinkerton-Rolet, Park Grove Design – What can we learn from some of the successful ideas implemented in other countries to utilise their interior space differently, to the benefit of residents, staff, and the local community?
n Staff retention by design, Third Age Design – Skilled carers are in short supply and of course can decide where they are going to work. It is recognised that the management team and core values are key to picking where to be employed;

n Future of care interior design, Russel Pillar & Sarah Thompson – An in-depth panel discussion presented by Russel Pillar and other experts in care interiors. They will be exploring what the future of your care interior is, and how this can be achieved.
