Care technology

unimaginable even a little over a year ago. Now is the time to build upon this progress to underpin increased collaboration in future. In order to protect the UK’s most

vulnerable people, social care must continue to make progress by collaborating with healthcare providers and local governments, and embedding technology in care, ensuring a minimum technology standard across healthcare services. Investing in the improved delivery of health and care with innovative care models, will facilitate the proposed reforms laid out in the white paper, particularly through greater collaboration and an increase in the amount and type of service user data available. The new systems designed will build

upon the successes that telecare and remote health monitoring have already delivered, and enable a more person- centred approach. As we look towards the future and to the recovery of our society, our health and care system will continue to be central to our national wellbeing and prosperity in the years ahead. By harnessing the development

of new technology, to enable new models of care, personalisation and support, we will meet the needs of a growing and ageing population, with complex care needs. The Covid response has shown us

that our services can innovate and deploy new methods of care delivery
