as follow-up times and outcomes, can be accessed as part of a growing suite of analytics, and through the provision of this data, the offering has evolved from a product to a fully-fledged service. While AI is sometimes seen as
taking away the human touch, the opposite is true of PainChek because it has still retained active involvement of carers in the process while making pain assessment easier and removing the administrative burden associated with the documentation. The technology empowers care providers to make informed decisions about pain management and treatment, and to use the data to plan person-centred, long-term care, therefore giving a voice to those unable to verbalise their pain. Dr. Kreshnik Hoti is Senior Research Scientist at PainChek. Kreshnik is an associate professor in pharmacy, a registered community and consultant pharmacist with a PhD in pharmacy and an accreditation from the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy. He has extensive practice experience in reviewing the use and safety of medicines in community and aged care settings, especially in geriatric people with chronic conditions.
