Showcasing UK innovation As usual, the UK Pavilion delivered on all aspects – both in terms of sheer scale and the broad scope of innovative technologies, services and products on display. Providing an unrivalled insight into the UK’s rich ecosystem of innovative businesses and world-leading hospitals and clinics. Showcasing the unique strengths and world-
class excellence of Northern Ireland, Invest Northern Ireland – the economic development agency for Northern Ireland – brought together
a cohort of some of the region’s leading medical technology companies to showcase their latest innovations and developments from the region. The Welsh Government were also in attendance with some of Wales’ foremost HealthTech innovators, giving visitors a glimpse into Wales’ vibrant and prosperous life sciences ecosystem. Making its return to the ABHI UK Pavilion was the Harley Street Medical Area (HSMA), which brought together its unique cluster of world- leading clinics and hospital groups to showcase the very best of London’s medical excellence. HSMA clinics and hospitals attending this year included newly opened clinic All Points North (APN), Bader Medial Institute London, Cleveland Clinic London, Fortius Clinic, HCA Healthcare UK, Isokinetic Medical Group, Mayo Clinic Healthcare, Moorfields Private Eye Hospital, Pharmacierge, Phoenix Hospital Group, The London Clinic and The Royal Marsden Private Care. The trade association also welcomed back Hertfordshire-based infection control specialists
GAMA Healthcare to showcase their latest innovations in infection control technology. The company has patented many formulations to help reduce the spread of infections such as COVID—19. This includes air filtration, surface cleaning and disinfection and hand hygiene solutions for healthcare and dental environments. Intersurgical – a leading global designer, manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of medical devices for respiratory support – was also at hand to showcase its wide range of respiratory products. The product portfolio covers innovative solutions for applications in anaesthesia, critical care, airway management and oxygen therapy. This year’s stand further provided a launch pad for Timesco Healthcare – a leading supplier to the NHS and private sectors in the UK – to demonstrate the benefits of its new video laryngoscope, designed to improve visualisation, reduce complications and improve the success rate of tracheal intubation in prehospital settings.
