AfPP events in 2025: Shaping the future of perioperative practice The Association for Perioperative Practice (AfPP) is at the forefront of advancing perioperative care, fostering professional development, and advocating for patient safety. In 2025, the Association is proud to unveil a fresh approach to its events programme, shaped by the valuable feedback from its members. It has transformed its offerings to better support perioperative practitioners across the UK. The 2025 calendar features an exciting line-up, including the revitalised Annual National Conference, dynamic Regional Conferences, Symposiums, and a variety of engaging webinars and online workshops - all designed to enhance clinical knowledge, foster collaboration, and meet the evolving needs of professionals in this vital field. Alex Duke, AfPP CEO, shared the organisation’s

excitement about the upcoming programme, saying: “At AfPP, we are dedicated to providing perioperative practitioners with exceptional opportunities to learn, connect, and grow. Our 2025 events programme reflects this commitment, offering a diverse range of educational and networking experiences designed to inspire excellence and innovation in perioperative care. We look forward to welcoming practitioners from across the UK to be part of this journey.”

Regional Conferences: While the Annual National Conference is a highlight of the year, AfPP also recognises the importance of providing accessible learning opportunities for perioperative practitioners across the country. To achieve this, the organisation will host a series of one-day regional conferences in 2025. Keep an eye out for a regional conference near you!

AfPP Symposium Series: Shaping the future of perioperative practice The AfPP Symposium series brings together leading experts to explore the latest advancements in perioperative care and surgical innovation. These events offer a platform for critical discussion, knowledge sharing, and analysis of emerging technologies.

Robotics Symposium; The future of robotics in healthcare Join us for an in-depth look at surgical robotics, from cutting-edge innovations to the evolving role of robotic-assisted procedures in improving surgical outcomes. This event is taking place on Wednesday 11 June, 8.30am – 4.30pm, at Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals, Colney Lane, Norwich.

Webinars: Flexible learning for busy professionals Recognising the demands on perioperative practitioners’ time, AfPP will continue to offer a comprehensive programme of live and on-demand webinars throughout 2025. These online events provide an accessible and flexible way to engage with expert-led education from the comfort of your home or workplace.

Online Workshops: hosted by expert speakers Brand new for 2025, AfPP is running online workshops. These are smaller, more intimate and interactive than the webinars.

Supporting professional development and patient safety AfPP’s events in 2025 are aligned with its mission to support perioperative practitioners in delivering the highest standards of care. By offering a mix of in-person and virtual learning opportunities, the organisation ensures that practitioners have access to the resources they need to excel in their roles. All AfPP events, including the Annual National

Conference, Regional Conferences, and webinars, contribute to your CPD hours for registration, and AfPP provides certificates to attendees.
