EndoFLIP system. As more patients undergo advanced upper gastrointestinal interventions at earlier disease stages, there is a growing need for a deeper understanding and improved management of post-surgical complications. This highlights the urgent priority of integrating novel diagnostic systems to enhance the investigation and treatment of this patient population.

About the author CSJ


Dr. Rehan Haidry is a Consultant Gastroenterologist & Interventional Endoscopist at the Cleveland Clinic London. He trained at St Mary’s Hospital, London, and completed his specialist training in the city. He then undertook a two-year academic fellowship at UCL, where he researched cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic techniques for detecting and treating early GI cancers. Rehan has a particular interest in pre-malignant and malignant disorders, including Barrett’s neoplasia, squamous neoplasia, oesophageal cancer, and advanced interventional endoscopy.
