The Big Bang Competition winners receive educational bursary

IHEEM is delighted to announce that Vaishnavi Rudra (pictured right) and Aaron Lord (pictured below right), this year’s recipients of the IHEEM Special Award and the Young Engineer of the Year at The Big Bang Competition respectively, are to be granted a £5,000 bursary each as well as free entry to future IHEEM conferences for their exceptional achievements. Both winners, who were presented with a certificate of scholarship during this year’s Healthcare Estates Conference, will receive the bursary across a three year period as a financial support to pursuing further academic and professional development within engineering. IHEEM CEO, Pete Sellars, reflected on the talent in evidence by all entrants to The Competition and the significance of honouring the winners’ achievements. He said, “The Big Bang Competition offers a critical and inspiring opportunity for students to engage with and challenge themselves in engineering, science, and technology. The Institute is incredibly proud to not simply support this initiative, but also directly support two exceptional young engineers to advance their learning and professional journeys.”
