Partnership announcement
2026 brings an exciting new partnership between the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) and the NextGen Healthcare Network. Recognising the power of diverse thinking when developing radical and reformative ideas, the NextGen Healthcare Network and IHEEM are joining forces to bring cross- generational experience to the forefront of innovation within the healthcare sector. Bringing IHEEM, the UK’s largest professional body dedicated to research, education and professional development together with the NextGen Healthcare Network’s fast-growing pool of ambitious and innovative future leaders is a significant move towards building resilience within the workforce of NHS Estates and healthcare specialised construction.
Who are the NextGen Healthcare Network? As a multi-disciplinary network of young professionals, the NextGen Healthcare Network is a forum for knowledge sharing, innovation and building authentic and lasting connections. Aimed at professionals with 5-15 years of experience in the healthcare construction, development, and
management sector, this ‘free to join, free to attend’ network facilitates open and honest learning, collaborative action and celebration of the healthcare sectors rising stars.
With 400+ members, this network of young professionals represents the UK’s most ambitious and influential future leaders, both within the public and private sector, across the multitude of disciplines that see strategic outline through to onsite delivery and maintenance with public healthcare estates. From seminars to workshops, informal networking and conference buddy-ups, the NextGen Healthcare Network aids young professionals in understanding key sectoral challenges, bringing together voices from across the industry to break down established silos and accelerate excellence within the
leaders of tomorrow. With 30+ events every year across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol (and expanding!), the NextGen Healthcare Network is dedicated to the implementation of new, exciting ideas within the industry that respond to the varying socio- economic context our healthcare estates sit within.
