New for 2026, this year’s May conference hosted by IHEEM’s Wales Branch is set to feature the ‘Welsh Dragons’ Den’ as part of its conference programme on day two of the event. Available on a first come, first served basis to those registered to exhibit at the event, the session will give representatives from across the industry to ‘pitch’ their services, operations, and engineering solutions to conference attendees in a similar vein to the popular television series. On this occasion, however, the winning pitch will be decided on by the ‘Welsh Dragons’ – via digital vote from those in the auditorium. The conference and exhibition run

As part of the Institute’s ongoing modernisation agenda, the IHEEM website has seen updates to its Technical and Advisory Platform pages. The changes incorporate a new look and feel, in addition to direct links through to documentation, news, and activity related to each platform. The new format pages set out current platform members, with Authorising Engineers benefitting from clearer signposting of names and linked AE profile pages for each certified member. Site visitors now also have easy access to the IHEEM membership sign up page and newly launched Technical Platform Forums all from the Technical Platform web page.
