BAM UK & Ireland has joined NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) to celebrate the official opening of the Parkhead Hub in Glasgow’s east end. Formally opened by the First
Minister, the Parkhead Hub is the largest integrated health and social care facility in Scotland. The £67 m development brings
together services previously delivered across nine separate locations, providing primary care, community health, social care and support services in one modern and accessible building.

groups throughout the development. Jim Ward, regional director, BAM Construction Scotland, said: “It has been a privilege to join our partners in celebrating the opening of the Parkhead Hub. The building reflects strong collaboration and a shared commitment to community health and wellbeing. Our teams and supply chain partners are proud to have played their part in delivering a high- quality and sustainable facility for the east end of Glasgow.” Since opening, the hub has won
several national and regional awards for design, and sustainability.
BAM delivered the Hub as principal MTX wins contract to extend Lincoln CDC
contractor, working closely with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Glasgow City HSCP, designers and a network of specialist suppliers contributed to the construction, covering façade installation, building services, digital systems and specialist clinical fit-out. The Parkhead Hub is NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s first Net-Zero- in-operation building. Its fabric-first design incorporates high-performance
MTX Contracts Ltd has been awarded the contract to create an extension to the Lincoln Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The contact builds on its completion
of the original facility in late 2024. The extension will support planned
care and additional diagnostic services, helping to increase capacity. Constructed using modern methods of
construction (MMC), the scheme will utilise precisely engineered structural steel units, manufactured offsite and craned into position alongside the existing centre. The contract, awarded by United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH), includes the creation of a linkway between the two buildings, additional drainage and groundworks for the site.
MTX delivered the Lincoln CDC
concurrently with a second CDC in Skegness, utilising MMC to ensure faster, safer, greener and more cost- effective delivery.
