The two-day Healthcare Estates 2022 Conference, Exhibition, and Awards being held from 4-5 October at Manchester Central will be the UK’s largest event for the healthcare engineering and estates and facilities management sector. The Institute said: “The four ‘Key
Themes’ (HEJ – March 2022) have been revised to reflect the issues that have the greatest impact on our industry, and this year there will be more keynote sessions across the two days.” IHEEM says that having has listened
carefully to members, Company Affiliates, and exhibitors, it is making the 2022 event ‘more affordable and more accessible’. It said: “Therefore, in partnership with STEP Exhibitions, we are offering a significantly revised ticket pricing structure which is based on a saving of at least £50 for a day ticket, and £100 for 2-day tickets, across all entry ticket prices (against 2019 rates).” ‘Early bird’ rates also give member and non-member delegates a further opportunity to make savings. Ticket prices are as follows:
Early bird rate (21/3/22 – 30/6/22) IHEEM Member 1 Day £145 2 Day £195
Standard rate (1/7/22 – 4/10/22) IHEEM member 1 Day £175 2 Day £225
Non-Member 1 Day £275 2 Day £395
Non-member 1 Day £330 2 Day £425
Pete Sellars, IHEEM’s CEO, said: “Our aim
is to make our flagship event as inclusive as possible, both for our members, and everyone from the healthcare EFM community who has worked tirelessly to meet the challenges of the past two years. This revised pricing structure will undoubtedly encourage increased delegate attendance at our conference and exhibition. I am delighted we have the opportunity to return to a live event this year, and I look forward to meeting many of you at Manchester Central.”
Three new awards revealed IHEEM has announced three new award categories at Healthcare Estates 2022: n The Diversity and Inclusion Award – recognising the organisation, individual, or initiative, that has made a genuine difference in equality, diversity, and inclusion, within the healthcare environment.
n Staff Wellbeing Initiative of the Year – for an initiative or programme introduced within a Trust to ensure the wellbeing and mental health of its team.
n Estates & Facilities Champion of Champions – recognising a member of the Estates & Facilities team that has gone above and beyond their job specification to improve the patient environment. IHEEM President, Paul Fenton MBE, said: “I would like to thank our Conference & Exhibition Committee for developing these three new awards that clearly acknowledge and celebrate our community of highly respected professionals. Everyone in our sector provides a wide range of expertise and knowledge to support the effective delivery of patient care. However, when faced with the challenges of the past two years, they have also supported each other on both a personal, and a professional, level. I am delighted this is being formally recognised in our awards. I am also pleased that we are providing the opportunity to commend the hard work that I know is happening across our sector to make it more diverse and inclusive. I very much look forward to attending the Awards ceremony in person this year, and to welcoming many of you back to this very special event.” The 2022 Awards, which will be
presented at a gala dinner at Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower Hotel on the evening of 4 October, will also include: n Architectural Practice of the Year. n Consultancy of the Year. n Estates & Facilities Team of the Year. n New Build Project of the Year. n Product Innovation of the Year. n Refurbishment Project of the Year n Sustainable Achievement. n Healthcare Supplier of the Year. n Apprentice of the Year.
