Inolex appoints Bradley Cook global manufacturing head

US personal care ingredient maker Inolex has appointed Bradley Cook as its executive vice-president, global head of manufacturing. The Philadelphia firm says Cook will lead all manufacturing operations as the company looks to scale up its sustainable ingredient technologies through a network of production sites around the world. Cook, who was previously

Croda’s North American operations vice-president, has an extensive career in the speciality chemicals industry focusing on engineering, supply chain, and global manufacturing strategy. Before that, he was Evonik’s

global vice-president of production

Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as manufacturing in France, Korea, India, and Brazil. Over the past year, Inolex

has expanded its footprint with commercial hubs in India and Korea, part of a larger strategic vision to be closer to customers and deliver a more sustainable value chain in these regions. “We have deep expertise with

and technology for its Care Solutions business line. Cook will now oversee Inolex’s flagship US manufacturing site in

our products. We are intimately involved in the sourcing of raw materials with growers and partners, we understand the molecules and the science behind our technologies, and we have the expertise to make what we design,” said Inolex president Art Knox, Inolex President.

Silab reveals film former efficacy data

Silab has published efficacy data about Liftilience, a film-forming natural active ingredient derived from fully traceable organic chestnuts. The French maker studied the

rapid lifting effect of the product formulated at 0.32% in a gel on the face.

The results show that Liftilience

significantly lifts crow’s feet wrinkles as of 15 minutes after a single application. In addition, four hours after having

applied a gel formula containing 0.16% Liftilience to the thighs, skin firmness is significantly increased by 5%, skin elasticity by 8% and skin tone by 34%. Also, after 21 days of twice-daily

application, Liftilience provides an anti-wrinkle effect by significantly smoothing forehead wrinkles (-11%). A significant effect is also

observed on complexion radiance (reflection: +14%; pink colour: +17%; olive colour: -14%; state of the eye fatigue: -17%).

In a related development,

Silab has also revealed fresh efficacy data about its Oxygeskin natural active ingredient derived from the nasturtium flower, which revives complexion radiance by reinvigorating skin oxygenation. When tested at 0.25% on aged

human fibroblasts, it significantly reduces the expression of miRNAs repressing the biological pathways of oxygenation (HIF-1α) and cellular energy production (ATP).

Silab also investigated its effect on the body; to this end, the active ingredient was applied at 1% to the thighs. After 14 days of twice

daily application, a parameter characteristic of skin oxygenation was significantly increased by 4.5%.

www.personalcaremagazine.com “Bradley brings tremendous

momentum to optimize and broaden our global manufacturing capabilities, to enhance the safety, quality, and sustainability of operations, and to deliver on the needs of customers in all markets we serve.” “We are making significant

investments in manufacturing with an eye on how the efficiency of our operations directly contributes to reducing product carbon footprint,” said Knox. “With Bradley at the helm, we’re taking a critical look at how our sustainable technologies become even more sustainable through smart manufacturing strategies.”
