News New Textiles Recycling Awards set to celebrate innovation

The organisers of the Textiles Recycling Expo have launched the Textiles Recycling Awards as a new addition to next year’s event taking place on 24–25 June 2026 at Brussels Expo, Belgium. The new awards, said AMI (publisher of TextilesLoop),

Fashion for Good tackles price premiums with new toolkit

With support from Laudes Foundation, Canopy, and Finance Earth, Fashion for Good, the global initiative that acts as a collaborative platform to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and circular fashion industry, is launching a Price Parity Toolkit. The framework introduces

an innovative financing approach known as ‘premium decoupling,’ which separates next-gen price premiums early in the supply chain, allowing materials to flow through subsequent tiers at the same price as conventional alterna- tives, removing price premiums and unlocking faster adoption

of lower-impact materials. This means brands absorb

the premium upfront and fund suppliers directly, eliminating the traditional compounding effect often referred to as ‘pancaking.’ The toolkit includes

step-by-step implementation guidance, expert-vetted operational guidelines for money flow management, legal risk mitigation, and traceability, along with real-world case studies across industries. It will continue to evolve with

learnings from real-world applications and other premium-related solutions, and Fashion for Good has vowed to support brands by helping them adapt the mechanism to their materials. •www.fashionforgood.com
