Anticipation builds for inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo USA

The Textiles Recycling Expo USA will take place for the first time in Charlotte, North Carolina on April 29-30, 2026, bringing together industry players and stakeholders to address the challenge of textile waste, including the recycling of fabrics, clothing, footwear, fibres and non-wovens. The free-to-attend exhibition and

conference will build on the success of the debut event in Europe in June this year, organised by AMI (publisher of Textiles- Loop), which has gained the support of key organisations in North America for the US version of the event. “We are very excited to bring the

Textiles Recycling Expo to the USA”, said Zied Chetoui, Event Manager for the show. “We had discussions with numerous American attendees at our launch event in Europe and it’s clear that there’s a real need for a similar meeting place for the North American textiles recycling community to help foster dialogue and progress.” Americans discard more than 10 million

currently being recycled. The US fashion and waste management sectors are under increasing pressure to grow recycling rates and reduce the volume of clothing and fabrics going to landfill. The Textiles Recycling Expo USA will address these challenges head-on, promoting information exchange, innovation and collaboration to create a more circular and sustainable future for the industry. Andy Beevers, Events Director at AMI,

said: “We selected Charlotte as the location for the expo as the city and surrounding areas make up a major hub for textiles production, recycling and research. Plus the city has great transport connections and excellent exhibition facilities”. The organisers said that exhibitors at

Textiles Recycling Expo USA can expect to connect with influential buyers and

specifiers from across the supply chain, while visitors will have the opportunity to discover innovative technologies from an international array of suppliers as well as gaining invaluable industry insights in the show’s conference theatre.

Exhibitors The growing exhibitor list features some of the industry’s most influential names, including Syre, Beyond Retro, Bank & Vogue, Valerius, Circ, and Debrand. Syre, a Founding Exhibitor, is particularly well aligned with the US edition, as it prepares to launch its first North Carolina plant capable of producing 10,000 metric tons of circular polyester annually. Backed by retail giants such as H&M, Target, Gap, and Houdini Sportswear, Syre’s participation underscores the event’s relevance as the premier
