DePoly launches showcase
Swiss startup DePoly has officially inaugurated its first Showcase Plant in Monthey. Billed as the first depolymerisation facility of its kind and scale in Switzerland, the plant represents a major milestone in the com- pany’s growth. “This represents six
years of asking if the circu- lar economy is possible, and proving that it is,” said Samantha Anderson, CEO and Co-founder of DePoly. “It’s the first visible step
toward a future where waste is no longer seen as a problem to manage, but as a resource that can be continuously reused,” she said.
Unlike mechanical
recycling which progres- sively degrades material quality with each cycle, DePoly said its technology breaks PET down into its original chemical compo- nents, enabling it to recreate virgin-quality raw materials with no loss of performance.
