choice is carried out under realistic production conditions with an output rate of 350 kg/hr. Pure Loop has implemented a pilot project in the field of fibre-to-fibre recycling of polyester, in cooperation with international fibre manufacturer RadiciGroup of Italy. The ISEC evo FibrePro:IV is the recycling technology part of the project. The Erema Group and compatriot company Lindner Holding, a manufacturer of production machinery shredders, system components and recycling facilities for the waste management industry, jointly founded the holding company Blueone Solutions with the aim to leverage the expertise of both companies to jointly execute research projects that help to create industry standards in plastics recycling. The ever-increasing challenges in the plastics
recycling market pushed both companies to realise the need for process optimisation. “Only when waste streams are optimally used, can the required quantities of regranulate be made available and only if the processes between the individual recycling steps are perfectly adjusted, can an increase in efficiency and quality optimisation be achieved,” says Michael Lackner, Managing Director of Lindner. The Blueone Solutions company – owned 50:50
by Erema Group and Lindner Holding, and to which shares of Lindner Washtech, Lindner’s washing technology company, were contributed – aims to significantly increase the added value and set industry standards by adjusting the optimising processes and conducting joint research projects. These projects, such as the pilot facilities in the LIT factory at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria, prompted the companies to enter into a close technical exchange years ago. Lindner will contribute its experience in processing waste streams and its expertise in washing, and Erema will contribute its know-how in extruding and filtration. Under the new company, the recycling extruder,

upstream washing system and material handling can be optimally coordinated so that quality standards can be ideally met, and energy opti- mised by implementing cross-process control and monitoring, supported by digital solutions. In the future Blueone will offer optimally coordinated all-in-one solutions that will enable clients to buy a total package, tailored to their needs. Further developments will focus on polyolefins plastics recycling. Following their acquisition in 2022 by Hillen-
brand, Coperion has integrated Herbold Mecke- sheim with Coperion’s recycling product lines into its new Recycling Business Unit that will build modular systems and plant solutions for the recycling of post-industrial and post-consumer waste, chemical recycling, solvent-based recycling and deodorisation, tailored to the type of plastic being recycled. Complete, innovative solutions for mechanical
processing, including size reduction, washing, separating, drying and agglomeration of plastics to bulk material handling, feeding and extrusion, as well as compounding and pelletising are offered from the Recycling Business Unit, says Coperion.
