The European Union’s Circular Economy strategy is going to place tough new demands on all in the plastics chain, from resin and part producers through to brand owners and consumers. Meanwhile, high profile issues such as marine waste mean that plastics will remain in the focus of media, NGOs and policy makers. Over the coming years, the pressure will undoubtedly be on all in the plastics supply chain to dramatically improve recycling rates. AMI’s new Plastics Recycling T

will examine the latest recycling technologies as well as exploring innovative approaches to lifting the quality of reclaimed materials. Taking place in Cologne, Germany, on 20-21 June, the conference will bring together a variety

of international recycling and waste management experts to examine key strategies for developing high-value markets for recycled plastics, as well as reviewing the legislation, regulation and standards that are critical in the development of the plastics recycling sector.
The full service Plastics Recycling Technology will kick off with a look at plastics recycling as part of a full service recycling offer to industry, which will be given by Christer Forsgren, R&D Manager at Stena Recycling International in Sweden. Clemens Kitzberger, Business Development Manager for Application Post Consumer at Erema Engineering Recycling, will then move the focus to the corporate image of recycling, including market trends and the latest technologies in post-consumer recycling. An automotive perspective on plastic recycling strategy to 2050 will be presented by Lodewijk Coevert, Senior Engineer Organic Materials , Material Engineering Division R&D at Toyota Motor Europe, and Peter Wiedemann, General Manager at WIPAG in Germany. Then Jannick Sercu, Marketing Director at Galloo Plastics in France, will discuss recovery of high value plastics materials from ELV and WEEE. The second session of the conference will take a
