Plastics Recyclers North America

Recycling and sustainability Request your free sample >

AMI Researchers have been conducting intensive research and telephone interview programs focused on mapping North America’s growing mechanical recycling activity.

The database Plastic Recyclers North America includes a total of 395 sites across Canada (54), Mexico (22) and the US (319).

Over recent years the United States, Canada, and Mexico have made commendable efforts to increase recycling rates and reduce plastic waste. However, challenges such as inconsistent recycling infrastructure persist, leading to variations in recycling rates and practices. Some key findings from the research include:

• 58% (229) of recycling sites listed are ‘privately owned’

• HDPE is the most recycled material, followed by PP and LDPE

• 48% of the sites listed recycle at least one type of Engineering Polymers (ABS, PA, PC, PBT, SAN, POM, PMMA)

What’s included in the database? The first-hand data collected from plant personnel includes details on the following: • Type of plastics recycled • Volume • Machinery

• End products • Recycling capabilities

It is all presented in a comprehensive database that serves as a valuable reference source for industry professionals seeking accurate and detailed information on plastics recycling.

417 managerial contact names are given including General, Sales, Production and Purchasing Managers. This includes full address details, telephone number and company email.
