its predecessor while accommodating larger and deeper moulds. Mould shops and plastics manufacturers will benefit from faster operating speeds, more injection unit combinations, new energy-saving features and smart AI functionality, says Fanuc. The new series has a wider range of screw diameters, increased clamping force, extended clamp open/close stroke, larger platen size and extended tie-bar spacing. There is also more space around the ejector, making it easier to install and remove the mould for faster cycle times and more product throughput per hour. New energy management features enable lower power consumption. For example, a new plasticising energy monitor contributes to savings through better energy balance in heat transfer, shear and energy loss, while an eco-temperature adjustment function also supports reduced energy use. Roboshot machines now also come with a service package that covers maintenance and repairs for up to eight years. �

KraussMaffei demonstrated its ColorForm direct coating process at K2025, producing FrontIQ Light car headlights in partnership with Leonhard Kurz and Rühl. KraussMaffei supplies ColorForm technology as
an integrated solution, covering automation, PUR technology and injection moulding which are all key technologies in the group. “KraussMaffei is the only company capable of developing these technologies under one roof,” said Jörg Stech, CEO of KraussMaffei Technologies. The combination of several thermoplastics,
decorative film and PUR surface leads to multiple design possibilities. In contrast to the hard coating usually needed for car headlights, the FrontIQ Light features an inline-applied PUR layer that protects against UV radiation, stone chips and chemicals. The coating can be adjusted in depth and enables variable haptic effects. In addition, the company said its PowerPrint additive manufacturing technology was now well established following its launch at K2022. The company said that, as a large-format printing technology, it was not part of the competitive market for small-format additive manufacturing technology. At K2025, it showed the new PowerPrint Flex and PrintCore variants. �

Lanxess presented a range of pigments and colorants for a variety of applications. For visual orange marking, it offers two complementary products: Macrolex Orange HT and Bayplast Orange TP LXS 51137. Macrolex Orange HT allows plastics to be permanently coloured in RAL 2003 orange. It is a soluble organic dye with high heat stability, lightfastness, weather resistance, colour strength and brilliance. Unlike most conventional dyes, it is suitable for engineering plastics, which often require colorants that can withstand high processing temperatures.
