Pharma offerings Suedpack used the recent Pharmapack show in France to highlight three aspects of its medical and pharmaceutical offerings. Firstly, its PharmaGuard packaging concept is now available in two versions. As well as transparent film, it now offers a white blister film which has high opacity and improved legibility when printed. The mono-material solution – free from phthalates, vinyl, PFAS, and halogens – offers a high water vapour barrier and reliable processing on standard packaging machines. The PP-based blister solution is also recyclable – with a lower climate impact than conventional composite materials made of aluminium and PET, it says. The company also offers its MedGuard range of packaging systems for medical devices and
sensitive products. Robust rigid and flexible films, and tailored pouch concepts, are made under controlled cleanroom conditions for high product protection, stability and sterility. Materials can be equipped with specific barrier and peel properties and are compatible with flexible lidding systems made from film, Tyvek and medical-grade paper. These materials seal trays securely and are designed for automated processes. The thermoformable rigid films are based on recyclable PET and PP, making them ideal for tray packaging. Suedpack’s range of pouch concepts includes both standardised and customised solutions used as process pouches for bioreactors, as header bags or patched bags for instrument sterilisation, and for transferring sterilised products between cleanrooms.
