Right: Moretto says its new Hyper Cut grinder has production capacities of up to 1,200kg/h
There are potential other advan-
tages. It can also reduce initial capital expenditure by 40-70% compared to new equipment, to reduce the return on investment (ROI) period. For example, a blown film line can be bought second- hand for €350,000 instead of €1 million new, while maintaining similar production capacity and product quality. In industries with tight margins, this can be decisive. Delivery times are often much
shorter: while a new machine may take 6-12 months to be delivered, a reused one can be up and running in less than three months, says MachinePoint.

and infrastructure applications. Benefits include: good durability and pressure resistance; high melt strength, maintaining pipe shape and integrity during processing; and corrosion resistance, eliminating rust, scale build-up and chemi- cal degradation. “With Luban RP6207B, we are
addressing the urgent infrastructure

Moretto says its new Hyper Cut is suitable for grinding a wide variety of waste parts. There are two models in the series – GR5060 and GR5084 – with production capacities up to 1,200kg/h. Thanks to a flexible rotor design, cutting elements can be set to process any type of waste piece, delivering good regrind quality in terms of shape, size and dust-free output. The rotor can be configured with 15 moveable blades for the GR5060 or 21 for the GR5084, both of which can be tailored to specific applications. Each model also includes three fixed blades. Thanks to the configuration of the rotor, and
with a rotor speed of 280rpm, Hyper Cut delivers twice the cutting capacity of conventional grinders while operating at 60% lower rotational speed, says Moretto – for higher productivity, lower noise and a dust-free output. In addition, the design of the cutting chamber and rotor optimises the pick-up of incoming material from the hopper – which remains in the chamber until it is small enough to pass through the holes in the screen. The 160° screen surface maximises screening efficiency without compromising output, the company adds.

needs of fast-growing urban centres,” said Abdul Rahman Al Tamtami, vice president of global marketing at OQ. The other 17 new grades are aimed at applications such as packaging, infra- structure, and sustainability, and include PP impact copolymers,
random copolymers and homopolymers.

Pixargus expanded its Xline series with a new profile inspection model, ProfilControl 7, with variants to measure either plastics or rubber extruded profiles. PlastX, for plastic profiles, has a modular sensor
head. An open sensor plate with a predefined hole pattern makes it possible to position the cameras in a highly flexible way. While up to 700 LEDs produce a homogeneous illumination field with maximal light yield, the software filters out interfer- ing external light. Defects and defect sources in the production process are recognised at an early stage, cutting the risk of out-of-spec production. For secure detection of grooves, a special software module has been integrated. In its basic version, ProfilControl 7 PlastX needs only four cameras. This has been enable by combining optimised optics with high-performance camera elements, which can be expanded to six cameras if needed. In addition, the company has upgraded the
hardware and software on its AllRounDia Dual Vision system, for tube and hose inspection. The inline inspection system now comes with a measur- ing field expanded to 70mm and is available with a separate screen and encoder as an option. A new coil change module facilitates automated coil changing, while a SCADA log module makes it possible to track alterations quickly and reliably and relate them to a specific operator.
