BRATS WITH SAUERKRAUT AND MUSTARD


Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill 1 (16 oz) pkg bratwursts for 10–12 min., turning often until lightly charred and no pink remains in the middle. Meanwhile, mix together 3 tbsp relish and ½ cup sauerkraut. Set 5 hot dog buns on the grill and cook until grill marks form (15 sec.). Spread buns with ¼ cup mustard. Set bratwurst in buns and top with sauerkraut-relish mixture, ½ cup crispy onions, and ¼ cup ketchup.

BRATS WITH PICKLED BEETS AND SOUR CREAM


Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thinly slice ½ red onion and place in a small pan with 1 tsp olive oil. Place the pan on the hot grill or on the stovetop and cook, stirring often for 10 min. until onions are golden brown. Meanwhile, grill 1 (16 oz) pkg bratwursts for 10–12 min., turning often until lightly charred and no pink remains in the middle. Slice ½ cup jarred pickled beets in half. Spread ¼ cup sour cream on 5 hot dog buns and top with beets and brats. Top with ¼ cup bean sprouts and caramelized onions.
