news MARIN Open Day November 8, 2014

In 2014 MARIN is again opening its doors to the public. On Saturday, November 8 from 10.00 until 16.00 hrs over a 100 MARIN employees will be happy to introduce visitors to the world of model testing and hydrodynamics.

Throughout the day interactive demonstra- tions will be given at all the testing facilities in Wageningen. Most basins are open to visitors, who will get a chance to see live

model tests taking place. They can even ride on a towing carriage and experience a real model test firsthand! On the route visitors can see how ship models and propellers are manufactured and learn more about cavitation. At the Nautical Centre visitors can even join the Captain on the simulator bridge or see how traffic on the water is controlled. In short, a fascinating journey through the maritime world. We hope to see you on November 8!
