LandMaster comes to European market
FJ Dynamics will launch its LandMaster Navigation System in Europe in the second half of 2020. The company has been active since last year in countries such as Indone- sia and Japan. LandMaster lets machines drive automatically, using an electrical- ly-powered steering wheel, a control ter- minal and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which collects terrain data. Using satellite signals, RTK technology for precise positioning and a self-developed high- torque waterproof and dust-proof motor, the LandMaster can automatically adjust the vehicle’s travel direction with better than 2.5 cm accuracy. The AI machine learning algorithms make the tractor or machine self-learning. It’s also equipped with obstacle detection, an alarm and an avoidance system. Farm managers obtain real-time operation data through the con- nection to the FJD Big Data platform, where they can check working environ- ments such as fields, air and water pat- terns, and the operating condition of the vehicle. The LandMaster Navigation Sys- tem can be installed in various brands of agricultural vehicles.

Airbus AgNeo scouts crops
Airbus has launched AgNeo, its new inte- grated precision farming solution for com- modities and permanent crops. Delivering in-season actionable information based on satellite imagery and premium agronomic analytics, AgNeo will help customers save time, optimise inputs and increase yields. AgNeo provides a wide range of crop ana- lytics. Based on imagery-derived health maps, it has multiple capabilities: from alerting features that direct agronomists to scout areas in their fields that require im- mediate attention to the creation of man- agement zones and variable rate applica- tion maps. Thanks to an Airbus-proprietary processing chain that normalises data across all sensors, AgNeo customers can also derive absolute agronomic indicators to use as input to their own models for building nitrogen recommendations or es- tablishing water budgets. The product will be able to utilise 30cm data from Airbus’ new Pléiades Neo satellites, which are due to be launched later this year.
Remote monitoring of irrigation
Eaton launched its new Control Xpert Ag mobile app, which facilitates remote moni- toring of irrigation systems. Eaton’s new app Control Xpert Ag can monitor the con- ditions and performance of equipment us- ing the onboard cellular gateway which ships standard with the PowerXL EGS varia- ble frequency drive. The app will give users the insights they need to make critical deci- sions and it will make it possible to remote- ly monitor equipment miles or even hours away. Eaton says its Control Xpert Ag app enables efficiency improvements in remote pumping applications through labour sav- ings and saving water use. By leveraging real-time data from remote irrigation sys- tems users can minimise or eliminate un- planned downtime and maintenance. A cellular gateway is used to transmit motor data from the variable frequency drive (VFD) to the Control Xpert Ag app.
