The increase of student riders requires the district to onboard more alternative transportation provides. In order to transport students, companies must


submit a proposal to the district to become an approved transportation contractor. Once that happens, there is no distinction at the district level whether that company is a Transportation Net- work Company, such as HopSkipDrive, or taxi cabs normally regulated by the public utility commis- sion, or an alternative transportation company like Everdriven that must adhere to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation regulations.
