Murderer of Tennessee School Bus Driver Released Jason Clinard, convicted as an adult for murdering his school bus driver Joyce Gregory in 2004 when he was 14 years old, was released from the Northeast


Correctional Complex in Tennessee in


September. Clinard served more than 18 years of a life sentence, which would have kept him behind bars for at least 51 years, as required by state law. EPA Announces Clean School Bus Rebate The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the opening of its year-two Clean School Bus Program rebate that offers $500 million to school districts, with an increased emphasis on non-priority school districts. More Green School Bus Funds New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said the first $100 million of a $500 million program is available to purchase zero-emissions school buses in the Empire State. All new school buses purchased statewide as of Jan. 1, 2027, must produce zero emissions, and all school district and contractor fleets must also be 100 percent zero emissions by 2035.
