School Bus Driver Charged in Hit and Run A school bus driver in New York City was arrested after video footage showed him running over 11-year-old Amira Aminova as she ran across the street. The bus did not stop, and Aminova died from her injuries. The school bus driver is being charged with two misdemeanors. State Sen. Steve Chan, a former police officer, represents the Brooklyn neighborhood where the tragedy took place and spoke about the bus driver’s alleged negligence. Read more at stnonline.com/go/ox.

Blue Bird to Take Full Ownership of Micro Bird The Georgia-based school bus manufacturer announced last month it is paying nearly $200 million to acquire the remaining 50-percent interest in the Type A Micro Bird line.
