Are districts able to get these funds to get Wi-Fi onto contractor buses?
Kim A. Worster, Sr. VP of Operations First Student, Inc.
STN reached out to Michael Flood, vice president of strategy for Wi-Fi provider Kajeet, for the answer. “If the contractor was acting as the Service Provider, and the applicant (district) and the contractor agreed to use the SPI method (Service Provider Invoicing), then the Service Provider would be able to invoice the FCC directly after the application was approved. To do so, the contractor would have to have both FCC and SAM registrations with the U.S. Government to receive funds.”
