Michael Shields, a retired director of transportation for Salem- Keizer School District, received the 2020 Ron Bryan President’s Award from the Oregon Pupil Transportation Association in June for his service and contributions to the association and the industry. The award was renamed posthuously for Randy Schetky, he former owner and president of the local Collins Bus and Thomas Built Buses dealer.
