Maker of the Year Awards: Mrs. Boucher’s Grade 3 Class in Huron Heights Public School, Ontario.


The Rick Hansen Foundation School Program (RHFSP) Diff erence Maker of the Year Awards celebrates and recognizes youth, youth groups, and classrooms between the ages of 5 and 18, in Canada who are leaders in making a positive impact on disability inclusion and accessibility in their school or broader community.


Youth are our future, and the actions they take make a huge impact.


Nominations for the 2024-2025 school year open January 12 and close April 6, 2025. Individual award recipients will each receive $500 to recognize their work, while classrooms and youth groups will receive $1,000 to share.
