unprocessed hair, followed by Singapore at US$12.4 million and Pakistan at US$8.6 million. On the import side, China dominates with US$17.4 million, while Austria and Italy import US$16.7 million and US$5.75 million respectively. Indian hair, prized for its length, strength, and texture, is particularly sought after for high-quality wigs and extensions. China, meanwhile, remains the hub for finishing and manufacturing these products. The market faces a steady decline, driven by rising raw hair costs and the squeeze on consumer spending.
