November 14, 2023 – Lexington, KY – The 2023 US Dressage Fi- nals presented by Adequan® wrapped up competition for its 10th anniversary on November 12, and 10 perpetual trophies were awarded to competitors in various divisions. The head-to- head competition, which brings together riders from across the United States, hosted the best na- tional dressage competition of the year at the Kentucky Horse Park on November 9-12, 2023. The Calaveras County Per-
petual Trophy for the Grand Prix Freestyle Adult Amateur Cham- pion, presented by Ova Stewart Pharo, was awarded to Anartz Chanca and Dazzle who won the class with 70.925% in their debut in this class at Finals. Chanca and Dazzle were
also awarded with the George W. Wagner Jr. Perpetual Trophy as the Grand Prix Adult Amateur Champion, presented by Interna- tional Georgian Grande Horse Registry for the second year in row.

Malone Perpetual Trophy, pre- sented by USDF was given to the Prix St. Georges Adult Amateur Champion, Amy Swerdlin riding her home-bred Fellowship CCW. They also took home the Verne Batchelder Memorial Trophy, presented by River House Hanoverians as the FEI Highest Scoring U.S.-bred Horse. Swerdlin bred Fellowship CCW, an eight-year-old Oldenburg gelding by Follow Me out of Li- mara herself. The Jazzman Perpetual
Trophy, presented by Donna Richardson went to Heather Mason and RTF Lincoln, who were the Grand Prix Freestyle Open Champions. The pair also received the Veronica Holt Per- petual Trophy, presented by USDF Region 5 and Friends as the Grand Prix Open Champions. The Lloyd Landkamer Per-

Browne bought a foal — having never even handled a weanling in her life — little did she know that seven years later she would lift the Fourth Level Open Freestyle Championship title on her horse of a lifetime on her first trip to Fi- nals.
“I love this mare with my
whole heart,” enthused the 26- year-old of the 15.2-hand Karina Sandra TF, unable to contain the smile on her face. “I was refresh- ing the results over and over again because there were a lot of really competitive, good riders in there. It’s super special because I’ve done everything with her myself. It’s super rewarding.”

New Executive Director Named for Equestrian Events, Inc.
Lexington, KY — September 28, 2023 — The Board of Directors for Equestrian Events, Inc. is pleased to announce Erin Woodall as the new executive di- rector of the organization. EEI is a non-profit, charitable organiza- tion that supports the develop- ment of equestrian sports through the staging of sporting events at the highest level including the Kentucky Three-Day Event, the Kentucky Invitational Grand Prix and the American Eventing Championships. EEI is based at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lex- ington, Kentucky. Woodall, a graduate of the
University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Agricul- ture Education, served with the United States Pony Clubs, Inc. for over 17 years in multiple po- sitions, most recently as the ac- tivities and events director. Additionally, she is a partner at
Grit Equine, LLC, at Bryan Sta- tion Farm. Woodall’s experience includes volunteer involvement with multiple equine associations including the Kentucky Horse Council, Midsouth Eventing and Dressage Association and the Kentucky Three-Day Event. “We are pleased to an-
nounce Erin’s appointment,” said Laura Holoubek, president of the board. “Erin will be a great addi- tion to help move the organiza- tion and events forward and lead the talented EEI staff.” Since its inception in 1975,

organizations and by elevating the competitiveness of the United States equestrian teams interna- tionally. “I’m thrilled to be joining
EEI,” Woodall said. “I’ve been a
lifelong equestrian and have many fond memories of the Ken- tucky Three-Day. I look forward to building upon the great foun- dation laid by those who came before me.” The board wishes to thank
Mike Cooper who has been serv- ing as the interim director since February 2022. Woodall will begin her duties on October 2.
