Over 5 days of horse show- ing, exhibitors competed in regular AQHA classes and a variety of special event classes were offered includ- ing Open Halter Stallions & Geldings, Open Halter Mares, Non-Pro Halter 2yr & Under, Youth All Ages Halter (Mares & Geldings),
Non-Pro Green Horse Showmanship Class, Longe Line Class, Green Horse Hunter Under Saddle Class, Ranch Rail Class, Ranch Riding Class, Green Horse Western Pleasure, Non-Pro Green Horse Horsemanship Class, and OAQHA Provin- cial Championship Equi- tation, Horsemanship and Showmanship. Congratula- tions to all the exhibitors, and thank you to all spon- sors, volunteers, and show staff for making it a success. The Ontario Con-
gress Youth Team competed at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in October.
They competed in the NYATT. The All American Quarter Horse Congress hosts the largest National Youth Team Tournament competition in the world. The National Youth Activity Team Tournament (NYATT) was held on Sunday, Octo- ber 15th, 2023. Youth from state and regional Quarter Horse associations across the U.S. and Canada come together to compete at the Congress. The team con- sisted of the following members and their horses: Willow Cambell and Clues Rooster, Abigail Dunlevy and Surely a Good Cowboy,
Judging Team and the youth advisor

OQHA Youth Advisor, Darcy Woods, did a fantastic job organizing the team for the NYATT. The competed in Western Pleasure, Horse- manship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equi- tation, Showmanship and Barrel Racing. Monica Collins and Willy Makesya Wonde were finalists in the NYATT Hunter Under Sad- dle, Gillian Merkley and RW Get It On placed 10th in the NYATT Horsemanship, and Willow Cambell and Clues Rooster placed 7th in the NYATT Barrels. Great rides were had by all the girls and we are really proud of how they represented On- tario. New this year, OQHA also sent a youth judging team for the first time ever! The team consisted of Sadie MacPhail, Cendryn Gener- oux, Taylor Carney and Jor- dan Carney coached by Shari
Irwin. The girls
judged a total of four halter classes and eight perform- ance classes. Then they had to give oral reasons to sup- port their placings. Ontario Quarter
