President’s Message: Our OQHA show season has begun
and what an amazing turnout of ex- hibitors. It is the support of our trainers who bring their customers that make our shows a huge success – so thank you! The Area 2 Spring Kick-off show was also host to OQHA’s 2022 Awards Ban- quet. Alice’s Catering provided an out- standing meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes, salads and a variety of rolls fol- lowed by cheesecake. OQHA has never held an Awards Banquet at a show before
and the feedback was very positive. Al- though the Executive had a tight budget for awards, Jessica Lange and Sheryl Chillson did an amazing job with provid- ing a great selection for our recipients. It takes a village to run Quarter horse shows in Ontario and even more people to organize an Awards Banquet at a horse show. Special thanks to Ben Ramsey for providing tables and chairs, Lindsay Mc- Dougall our Banquet Chair, Art & Sheryl Chillson and Jessica Lange for doing setup, and Brad Bowie for being our MC.

Don’t forget to plan on attending
OQHA Race Day held on Sunday July 16th at Picov’s Downs. Tickets can be purchased on the OQHA website. For just $30 - get a Race Program, 4 oz mug, hat, $5 betting voucher and 5 Beer/Cider tokens. All proceeds support our 2023 Hall of Fame. Should be a fun day!
