6/ DECEMBER 2021 THE RIDER I’m There For You Corey Langley Promoted to Director of Operations for NATDA

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The teamwork and effort that the North American Trailer Dealers Associa- tion’s (NATDA) current Director of Marketing, Corey Langley, presented at the 2021 NATDA Trailer Show has led to a change in position for him. Langley will move his talents from marketing to event operations as the association’s new Director of Opera- tions, stepping into the vacated role after Andria Gibbon, CEM was pro- moted to Executive Director. “I’m excited for Corey to move

By Susan Dahl. December is a time when most of

us look back on what the year has been for us – prosperous, challenging, tough, or rewarding. Or even maybe, a bit of everything. The end of this year 2021 marks

the end of 18 months of the “experts” telling us that 7 months to “flatten the curve” of this corona-thing and yet here we are with another “variant” and an- other booster. But they don’t seem to be working. I have friends whose friends or family are very sick. My heart goes out to those people. I think I’ll call my brother now. Please wait. Ok.I’m back. This holiday season

is certainly a time to stay close to our loved ones. My brother broke his ankle a short time ago and with it being the

events that trigger us to remember certain dates? This past year will mark the time that I sold my young horse and decided not to train any more horses (as far as I know). Not in this lifetime anyway. I also have 3 senior dogs whom

I’m looking after closely. One is very frail and I have to help him con- stantly. He’s 17.5 years old. I’ve never had a dog that old before. An- other labour of love. It’s these times when major

events happen in our life that we see the human resiliency working at it’s best. We hum=humans are tough. We’ll get through anything including the pandemic. Please stay strong for yourself and your loved ones. We are here for you. So, Happy Winter Solstice

Everyone. Happy Holidays. I raise a glass of eggnog to you and your 2- legged and 4-legged families this wintertime season. Take care.

into the Director of Operations role,” said Executive Director Andria Gib- bon, CEM. “Throughout the plan- ning of the 2021 event, it was evident that Corey’s passion for logistics and operations, combined with his years of experience at NATDA, would make him an ideal fit for this posi- tion. I look forward to seeing Corey take on this crucial role in event and sponsorship management that will lead to another successful show in Nashville.” In his new role, Langley will

work with Gibbon on the execution of the association’s annual event, the NATDA Trailer Show, serve as a li- aison for its exhibitors and work as the point-of-contact for NATDA sponsors. Langley will continue to serve as the head of the association’s marketing during a transitional pe- riod.

“I’m thankful for the strong be-

lief and faith in my abilities that NATDA’s President, Andy Acker- man, and Vice President, Amy Ack- erman, have had in me,” Langley

said. “I look forward to working alongside Executive Director Andria Gibbon, CEM and tackling new op- portunities with the association.” For media inquiries, please
