Mimi Gochman Wins Year-end Finals at National Horse Show


Lexington, KY – November 9, 2021 – The Show Jumping Hall of Fame (SJHF) held its 2021 East Conference Championship at the National Horse Show in Lexing- ton, KY on November 6 and also recognized the two East Confer- ence winners of the 2021 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series. The Show Jumping Hall of


Fame conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Se- ries to provide an opportunity for amateur, amateur-owner and jun- ior riders to compete at higher lev- els. The Series hosts separate divisions for amateur/amateur- owners and juniors in two Confer- ences – East and West – and follows Grand Prix rules and spec- ifications. The Series serves as a proving ground for many who as- pire to represent the United States in international competition. The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series is sponsored by Blenheim EquiSports, the Hampton Classic, Kentucky Horse Park, National Horse Show Asso- ciation of America and United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA).


2021 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series East Conference Winners Emerging as the East Confer-


ence Amateur Champion was Vanessa Hood of Wellington, FL on her horse, Lou Lou VLS. Hood, trained by Kent Farrington, also placed second in the standings on her horse, Santauer. Taking top honors in the East


Conference Junior Division was Zayna Rizvi of Wellington, FL on her horse, Excellent. Rizvi, trained by Missy Clark and North Run, also placed fifth in the standings on Chaplin W. Finishing second was Grace Debney of Hampden, MA on Boheme de la Roque.

end Final, Mimi Gochman of New York, NY topped a field of 30 fi- nalists to win the National Horse Show’s $25,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Amateur-Owner/Ju- nior Jumper Grand Prix to claim the 2021 Show Jumping Hall of Fame East Conference Champi- onship on her horse, Celina BH. After 14 horses qualified for


the jump-off with clean rounds over the 15-effort course designed by Bernardo Costa Cabral of Por- tugal, it came down to a dramatic finish where each of the last five took over the lead. Going last, Gochman claimed the win on Celina BH, owned by Gochman Sport Horse LLC. Second went to Grace Debney on Boheme de la Roque, owned by Temple Eques- trian, LLC and third went to Vanessa Hood on Lou Lou VLS,


owned by Take Two LLC.

Blenheim EquiSports has been named the host of a Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series qualifier, to be held May 10-15, 2022, at Rancho Mission Viejo Riding Park in San Juan Capis- trano, CA. “Blenheim EquiSports is very excited to be hosting the U.S.

Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup in 2022,” said Stephanie Lightner of Blenheim EquiSports. “It has been our goal to bring international caliber show jumping back to San Juan Capistrano and Southern California, and highlighting the Nations Cup will be the pinnacle of our competition calen- dar next year.” As the only qualifier
