HOSPITALITY & LEISURE

pathways and a carefully controlled atmosphere that supports the experience without imposing it.

CERAMICS AS THE PROJECT’S SILENT FOUNDATION

In this context, WOW Design’s Halo collection plays a key role. Inspired by natural stone and by the chromatic variations of light throughout the day, Halo unfolds to create a continuous surface that connects the different areas of the café and naturally accompanies the user’s movement. Its small format and modular logic introduce rhythm and depth, reinforcing the human scale of the space with discretion.

The continuity of the flooring towards the exterior blurs the boundary between interior and city, reinforcing the café’s open character and consolidating it as a small everyday stage integrated into its urban surroundings. Ceramics support this transition seamlessly, underlining the project’s material coherence.

A GASTRONOMIC, CULTURAL AND EMOTIONAL SPACE

Located in Thessaloniki, Moonkiz Café brings this cultural imaginary into the city’s urban scene without the need for explicit explanations. The setting acts as a backdrop, while the project asserts itself through its own identity and spatial language.

The proposal is completed by a gastronomic offering inspired by Korean coffee culture, featuring traditional drinks and desserts presented through a minimalist language consistent with the space. The integration of technological systems for lighting, climate control and comfort further enhances the overall experience.

Moonkiz Café thus stands as an example of how contemporary interior design can construct atmosphere, identity and emotion through materiality and ceramics. A project in which small- format ceramic tiles become an essential architectural tool for shaping an experiential, balanced and long-lasting space.
