EASTERN IDENTITY
WOW Design ceramic tiles help to create an immersive experience at a Korean-inspired café in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Moonkiz Café is conceived as a small narrative universe in which the everyday ritual of coffee is transformed into a slow, mindful spatial experience. Inspired by Korean aesthetics, the project proposes a way of inhabiting space based on rhythm, repetition and attention to detail, translating these values into an architecture designed to be explored and lived.
Within the café, WOW Design ceramics are integrated as a structural element of the interior design, establishing a serene material base upon which the entire project is articulated. Rather than acting as a decorative layer, ceramics become the architectural thread of the space, organising circulation and allowing graphic identity, colour and lighting to coexist without visual tension.
KOREAN CULTURE, MATERIALITY AND SPATIAL BALANCE
The project adopts a contemporary reading of Korean culture, understood not as a literal reference but as a spatial attitude. Calmness, precision and balance are expressed through an architecture of clean lines and soft geometries, set in dialogue with an expressive graphic identity that introduces colour, characters and subtle references to Korean urban and pop culture.
Designed by ARK4LAB, Moonkiz Café is organised as a fluid and accessible space capable of accommodating different modes of use. More intimate areas coexist with open zones conceived for social interaction, connected by continuous
