Here, wedi explains how its new linear shower solution, Fundo Flex, is the perfect drain solution for modern floor-level showers.
Did you know that since February, wedi offers an entirely new concept for walk-in showers? Addressing challenges installers regularly face, the new linear shower solution, Fundo Flex, is extremely versatile: not only suitable for any substrate and layout, but also allows for an exacting, sleek design.
Combining maximum reliability and flexible adaptability, the Fundo Flex is a versatile channel drain solution for shower floors. You can install it on its own in screed with membrane or liquid waterproofing applied over the surrounding floor, or, you can install it with complementary sloping boards in/on timber and concrete floors.
Both the channel element and the channel profile can be cut to required dimensions on site, and thanks to the included eccentric, you can shift the position of the channel profile closer or further away from the wall!
To bypass the need to manually create falls, there are perfectly matched complementary sloping boards designed for the Fundo Flex – the 100% waterproof, directly tileable and freely customisable boards turn the linear shower drain into a unique, flexible shower system. What’s more, the new Fundo Wave drain technology, featuring a click and seal bayonet closure, also grants you and your client peace of mind.
AN ENTIRELY NEW LEVEL OF ADAPTABILITY
• Fully adjustable channel element that can be positioned along the long or short side, close to the wall, centrally, or anywhere in between – with or without sloping boards, it is entirely up to you at which position to place the drainage!
• 360° rotatable channel profile with the included eccentric
facilitates precise alignment allowing the channel to be placed at the required angle and distance from the wall.
• Stepped rebates for precise integration of the complementary sloping boards ensuring a fully sealed,
level shower floor.
• Sloping boards with precise gradient ensure adequate water drainage eliminating the need for meticulous
planning and precise execution, as well as for labour intensive priming and sealing.
• Flexibly customisable components – the channel element, the slim channel profile as well as the sloping boards can
be cut and arranged to form a tailored solution. MODERN DESIGN WITH A HIGH STANDARD OF HYGIENE
To provide a solution that can be configured to fit any requirement whilst offering the wedi renowned level of safety and waterproofing, a lot of emphasis was placed on product design during development. The only visible part, the channel profile, is incredibly narrow, just 35 mm wide.
Thanks to its special contour without any edges inside and the integrated odour trap, the Fundo Wave drain body is almost self-cleaning. What’s even nicer is the removable trap included with the channel profile – it catches hair and other debris making the cleaning effortless.
