18TH TILE OF SPAIN AWARDS OPEN FOR


ENTRIES The Spanish Ceramic Tile Manufacturers’ Association (ASCER) is inviting entries for the 18th edition of the Tile of Spain Architecture, Interior Design and Final Degree Project Awards.


The prestigious international awards return offering a total prize fund of 39,000 euros shared between three categories: Architecture, Interior Design and Final Degree Project. Entry is free and the closing date for submissions is 24th


October 2019.


Projects can be located anywhere in the world, but must make significant use of Spanish ceramics and must have been completed between January 2017 and October 2019.


After many years of encouraging, discovering and rewarding the creative use of Spanish tiles, the awards have built a respected reputation within the industry. The panel of judges is made up of internationally-acclaimed professionals working in the architecture and design sectors. Established to foster and promote

the appreciation of Spanish ceramic tiles in architecture and interior design (both in Spain and internationally), the Tile of Spain Awards are sponsored by Endesa, Weber-Saint Gobain, the Port Authority of Valencia and CESCE.


The Awards have a prize fund of 39,000 euros distributed among three categories. The two main categories are Architecture and Interior Design, each with a cash prize of 17,000 euros. The primary entry requirement is that each project must feature ceramic tiles manufactured in Spain. The third category is the Final Degree Project, aimed at students of architecture


finalists have included a huge variety of offerings from a whole range of different companies so the possibilities of what you can nominate are endless. With no categories or special requirements, just simply choose something that stands out to you.


Nominations will be accepted until Monday 27th September. When nominations close, a shortlist of finalists will then be selected and included in our Awards Guide, which will be produced at the end of 2019, in time for when voting opens in the new year. Voting will be open to the public until March 2020, when the top three winners will be announced.
