New Master Installer Course Dates At Quick-Step Academy
The Academy for Excellence in Flooring is responding to the need for more skilled, industry-qualified fitters with new course dates for this Autumn, along with a refresh of content to include new innovations in flooring and improve the benefits of being a Master Installer.
After the three-day Master Installer course, experienced fitters will leave with a manufacturer-accredited qualification that allows them to offer a new lifetime workmanship warranty on Quick-Step wood and laminate floors. The Master Installer badge also demonstrates the installer is among the most skilled in the industry, capable of undertaking even the most complex of installations. Course content has recently been refreshed to accommodate the extra wide and long planks of the new Majestic laminate and Massimo wood collections and how to adapt installation techniques to overcome the challenges faced by these large formats.
The event also featured a raffle and an auction, with prizes including a framed and signed England cricket test match shirt, a whole day spent on the airfield and military testing ground at Duxford – including a flight in a tiger moth – and Swarovski crystal jewellery.
Breast Cancer Now is a UK breast cancer research charity, which supports 450 scientists making vital discoveries, campaigns for more accessible treatments and raises awareness to help detect the disease earlier.
Karndean Swings To Success With Charity Golf Day
Kind-hearted staff from luxury vinyl flooring specialist Karndean Designflooring have raised £11,000 in support of three charities – Breast Cancer Now, Mentor Link and Evesham Adventure playground – as part of its annual charity golf day at Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel, Tewkesbury.
After the success of previous fundrasing golf days, Karndean decided once again to host the event this year, with the money raised being split between three charities, two of which are local to Karndean’s Evesham base.
For installers actively involved in LVT, the Academy offers a similar Master Installer scheme, exclusively for Quick- Step’s LIVYN luxury vinyl collection. Again, the two-day, pass or fail course, results in Master Installers being the only floor fitters able to offer a new lifetime workmanship warranty on LIVYN installations.

Evesham Adventure Playground is another cause nominated by staff, enriching the lives of young people and their families by ensuring they have the space to have fun together, providing various clubs and activities including out of school clubs, holiday play schemes, youth clubs, a toddler group and a breakfast club.
