H&S NORTH

On day two, the HSM Knowledge Exchange will debate why supplying respiratory protection equipment (RPE) without making sure it fits properly is a waste of money and can increase the risk of respiratory disorders. It will bring together experts to advise you how to ensure the best fit for all faces and make sure RPE serves its purpose.

Whatever sector they are in, most organisations find slips and trips are the most common cause of entries in their accident books. This debate will discuss the causes of slips and trips and smart ways to reduce them.

Knowledge drawn from training and experience is the foundation of competence to work safely. But how do you ensure that workers are competent to the level required by many regulations? A panel of specialists will provide the answer during a Q&A in the HSM Knowledge Exchange.

Most fall-from-height injuries involve workers who were less than a metre off the ground. In the theatre’s penultimate debate you will find out what you can do to manage down the common work-at-height risks and what equipment to specify to provide the most cost effective protection.

The Knowledge Exchange will conclude with a session focussing on lone worker protection. Delegates will find out the equipment and protocols to ensure you can meet your duty of care for workers wherever they are.

CPD HOURS All sessions featured in the seminar programmes are CPD accredited. Continuing Professional Development helps individuals focus on how they can become a more competent and effective professional with training and learning being the key to increasing confidence and overall capability.
