EcoTech (Europe) Ltd celebrates 25 years of service to the care industry.
EcoTech (Europe) Ltd was founded in 1997 by husband- and-wife team, Paul and Hazel Brownhill. From humble beginnings sat around the kitchen table, EcoTech began by supplying cleaning cloths to the away-from-home market such as hotels, restaurants, bars, and care homes throughout the UK and the Middle East, quickly establishing a solid reputation as a top supplier.
It became evident that traditional stockinette cloths were not the ideal material for cleaning due to the high risk of cross- contamination, the harbouring and breeding of bacteria between the fibres, and the pungent odour released when the cloths were leſt damp. This problem necessitated a new solution, one that EcoTech was fully prepared to deliver. Aiming to offer a more suitable replacement product for all types of cleaning – from household and business to industrial – EcoTech worked very closely with technical textile manufacturers’ “non-woven” technology which produces incredibly durable and hygienic materials from a combination
of both natural and man-made fibres. These have been scientifically proven to clean surfaces much more effectively than knitted cloths.
In the last 25 years, the company has evolved with the times, successfully adapting to the ever-changing demands placed on hygiene products and the ever-shiſting landscape of the care industry. From just a single product in 1997 (the revolutionary Envirowipe®

product and all packaging
), EcoTech now manufactures over
300 different types of mechanical fibre products at their state- of-the art factory in Coventry. The range of products has also increased over the years, now including disinfectant wipes and patient cleansing wipes, specialised variants of EcoTech’s original, innovative design. With 14 highly modernised production lines and a full complement of hard-working, motivated, and fiercely dedicated team members, our products are produced to the very highest standards, allowing them to stand the test of time.
