Editor’s Voice
Hello and welcome to the February/March issue of Tomorrow’s Care! Whilst the winter months always pose a threat towards society’s most
vulnerable, the recent and continuous coronavirus outbreak has sparked significant cause for concern; particularly within the health and social
care sectors. With researchers and scientists working tirelessly to identify COVID-19 symptoms, find new treatments and monitor the spread of the disease, one thing stands out in particular amongst the news coverage of developments- the power of healthcare technology.
From disinfecting robots to thermal-equipped drones, this is certainly an indication of the strength and efficiency of technology today, and gives us a good idea of the direction it’s going in. Predictions for technology’s
impact on healthcare in years to come have also been outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan. In our dedicated Technology in Care section, ID Medical examines the data presented in the Plan and gives a breakdown of the major changes technology will bring to UK health and social care.
One place where you can expect to see a whole host of new technological innovations is at this year’s Dementia, Care & Nursing Home Expo. Returning to Birmingham’s NEC from 17th
-18 March, the event will once
again welcome thousands of sector professionals to see hundreds of exhibitors from the UK and worldwide, attend seminars from some of
the sector’s most influential speakers, and enjoy countless networking opportunities. This issue features a jam-packed preview of the show, to keep you up-to-date on all the information you need to know if you’re
visiting. We’ll be at the event on Stand D672, so make sure you come and say hello if you’re attending.

from Keebles will be discussing a different legal issue that may affect your care organisation. This time, it’s restrictive covenants.
Happy reading!
