WHAT’S NEW? NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR THE
TOMORROW’S CARE AWARDS It has been a difficult year but we are looking ahead and want to celebrate the best products and services available to the care industry. We are therefore now accepting entries for the Tomorrow’s Care Awards 2021. Tell us what you think have been the best product innovations and services available over the past 12 months.
This year’s awards are a celebration of some of the finest products and services that have supported the care sector through the tumultuous 12 months of 2020.
Last year, HAS Technology took the top spot for ARMED
(Advanced Risk Modelling for Early Detection), but this year could be anyone’s for the taking as it’s down to our readers to vote for the winners.
Tomorrow’s Care Editor Georgie Whitworth said: “Every year we receive some fabulous entries and our awards aim to honour all aspects of the industry so I’m really excited to see what this year brings.”
Nominations will be accepted until Friday 21st August. An
Awards Guide will be produced at the end 2020 and a public poll will open from December to March.
To enter a product or service for this year’s awards, email Georgie with the name of your favourite innovation and why it should be included.
AIRDRI EXPANDS RANGE TO
SUPPORT COVID-19 RECOVERY Airdri Ltd, has extended its range of Air Purifiers, following the COVID-19 outbreak.
Following the launch of its washroom purifier earlier this year, the hygiene equipment specialist has added two additional models to its range to provide infection control in a wider range of public and private settings.
Each unit provides the most advanced virus and bacteria control technology of its kind. It kills 98.11% of surface and airborne bacteria, including the coronavirus family.
The new Air Purifier PMA unit is suitable for larger areas of continuous occupation, such as open-plan offices, large work areas and shops. It can cover an area of up to 80m2, liſting hygiene standards and protecting people from harmful viruses and bacteria.
The PSA unit is ideal for more sensitive settings such as care homes, medical surgeries and waiting rooms, cafes, and

salons. This unit is completely silent, covering smaller areas of continuous occupation of up to 20m2. The unit not only improves air quality, but it also eliminates odours and mould.
Mike Smith joined Airdri as Commercial Manager in March this year. He said: “If the past few months have taught us anything, it is that infection control and hygiene is vital to our health and wellbeing. COVID-19 is still at large and can survive on surfaces for many hours, even days. As businesses, support services, and public places continue to ease out of lockdown, it has never been more important to ensure that they have the facilities in place to combat the virus.
Of course, the washroom has always been a priority when it comes to hygiene which is why we launched our washroom purifier earlier this year. But in today’s world, it’s important to protect staff and visitors in other areas too so we have expanded our range of air purifiers to reflect this. We now have units to suit a range of settings beyond the washroom, from offices and medical surgeries to care homes, restaurants and bars.”
