WASHROOM HYGIENE

SPONSORED BY: TORK WASHROOM WONDERS

Now part of Essity, Tork offers professional hygiene products and services to customers in more than 80 countries.

Products and solutions on offer under the Tork brand include washroom dispensers, paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, napkins, hand sanitisers and industrial and kitchen wipers.

The brand’s offering plays an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of members of the public in a wide range of facilities including hotels, restaurants, healthcare centres, offices, conference centres, amusement parks, schools, stadiums and industrial units.

The expertise of Tork in terms of functional design and sustainability – along with its extensive hygiene knowledge – has made the brand a market leader.

Tork is dedicated to assisting its customers in getting ready for business. All Tork solutions are designed to make life easier for clients and help them put in place those many important details that facilitate the smooth running of a company. And this in turn empowers customers to concentrate their efforts on what they do best – running their own businesses.

The Tork brand is rapidly gaining a name as a key innovator in the hygiene market. Latest products include the Tork PeakServe Continuous Hand Towel system which was launched in September 2017 and has 18 patents against its name.

Tork EasyCube has been installed in shopping centres, tourist attractions, leisure facilities and transport hubs in the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Poland and other countries throughout Europe. Observational studies have shown an increase in cleaning activities of up to 62% following the installation of Tork EasyCube. This is because the system results in less time spent manually checking each washroom dispenser for refill needs.

Tork is part of Essity, formerly SCA. This leading health and hygiene company incorporates a range of well-established brands including Tork – which has been a key player in the hygiene market for decades.

Tork PeakServe is designed to solve the problem of hand towel run-outs in large, high-traffic facilities such as stadiums, exhibition venues, conference centres and healthcare facilities. The Tork PeakServe dispenser caters for 250% more guests between refills than a conventional hand towel unit and provides each washroom visitor with a towel in just three seconds.

Hand towels in the Tork PeakServe system are compressed during production to make them twice as compact as standard hand towels. The bundles connect together providing a continuous supply of paper. Essity considers Tork PeakServe to be the most significant hand drying innovation

to have emerged on to the market in the past 20 years. The system is a finalist in the Tomorrow’s Cleaning Awards 2018.

Another key Tork innovation is Tork EasyCube, a data-driven cleaning system that enables washroom staff to check for cleaning needs and dispenser refill requirements via a smartphone or tablet. Originally designed for use in the washroom, the reach of Tork EasyCube is rapidly expanding and the system is increasingly being used by facilities managers to help predict cleaning needs around their entire building – and not just in the washrooms.
