Window cleaners no longer have to hang precariously from a ladder wielding a cloth. With extendable hoses, brushes and jet washers, window cleaning has moved on to a more efficient level of execution.

In short, there are now many innovative solutions which enable us to clean effectively and sustainably.


Conclusion


The overall point that I want to convey is that the solutions exist for us to continue as an industry with a strong, sustainable profile. By sustainable I mean safeguarding the longevity of our businesses – it may take a little rejigging and a small change in our individual service profiles, but we can prevail. It also means that we can positively impact the economy and workforce with our input, as well as the social wellbeing of the end-users around us.


As for responsible cleaning practices, the innovation exists for us to maintain them while taking care of our world, protecting our water supplies and tables, not defiling our soils or adding any toxicity to our built environment.


Where some of us might have been reluctant to actively pursue these paths before, I think now we are compelled to explore every responsible option that there is so that we can weather the crisis together, and proceed into the future knowing that we have left an honourable legacy behind us.
