BICSC ANNOUNCE ANNUAL AWARDS 2016 EDUCATIONAL

PROGRAMME The 15th September 2016 marks the date of the BICSc Annual Awards, celebrating excellence in training and assessment within the cleaning industry. As a special addition to this year's annual awards, The British Institute of Cleaning Science has announced they will be hosting an exclusive cleaning industry educational programme and exhibition.

“We are looking forward to catching up with many of our existing members as well as the opportunity to meet some new faces. The Annual Awards 2016 Educational Programme is the first time BICSc has run an event like this, and if it proves to be a success, we hope to create an even

pit. But luckily, Gavin was able to make it through the course unscathed, as he and his team, the Liaison Spartans, completed the course in a time of one hour and 51 minutes.

TC SALES DIRECTOR TAKES

ON SPARTAN RACE TC is delighted to reveal that our very own Sales Director, Gavin Nicholls, successfully completed the Alzheimer’s Research UK Spartan Race this month.

Held on 3rd September at Elton Hall, just outside Peterborough, the Spartan Race was a gruelling five mile obstacle course that included wall climbs, monkey bars, log carrying, rope climbing and even a leap across a fire

Gavin completed the Spartan Race alongside his wife Jo, and four of her colleagues from the Older People’s Mental Health Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where she works as a Nurse Consultant, and he said that while the course was tough going, the Liaison Spartans helped him through it.

He said: “There is a great feeling of team spirit that comes across as you work together to ensure that you all finish. We finished the course as a team, all muddy, battered and bruised, but it was a very satisfying feeling of accomplishment to complete this event.

“I’m already looking to take part in next year’s event. They say with

things like this you ‘get the bug’ and want to do more – that’s definitely the case for Jo and I!”

To date, Gavin and his team have raised more than £1,300 for Alzheimer’s Research UK, and he is very grateful to everyone that has chipped in and donated so far.

He added: “I want to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave their hard earned cash to support us and Alzheimer’s Research, who will benefit from the donations. A special thank you must also go to my teammates – Jo, Katy, Ricky, Catherine and Lorna – for making it a really great, fun day to remember.

“So much money was raised for many worthwhile causes, I am sure, so well done to all who took part for charity.”
